"World's Strongest Man" gimmicks have been around in the wrestling world for years. From Ted Arcidi to Mark Henry, they usually come packaged with a huge buildup, only to prove to be equally huge letdowns.

Just like Kaz here.

Bill Kazmaier, a powerlifter who made it into the Guiness Book of World Records about 10 years ago, is a prime example. At the height of his record-setting, WCW came calling and, like they did with virtually every semi-celebrity ever, signed him up.

At first, he started off as just a bystander, a friend of Lex Luger's who had come to the shows in support of his friend. This evolved into his displaying feats of strength in the ring, which then led to attacks such as this one by The Enforcers.

Kaz then became a full-fledged wrestler for about 10 minutes. The most interesting part of his gimmick was the giant inflatable globe he would carry to the ring, ala Atlas.

Showing that he wasn't ready for a singles push, he was frequently teamed with Sting and Rick Steiner, staying a while longer, before quietly disappearing from the ring.
