Del
Wilkes has always been a law-abiding citizen in the wrestling world.
Most know him now as The Patriot, the masked man who made a big splash
in the WWF by pinnning Bret Hart on RAW. Before that, he played that
same all-American gimmick in Japan, WCW and GWF.

But before that, he was one-half of the last AWA Tag Team Champions. He was...The Trooper. The Trooper was one of the bright spots in the dying days of the AWA, and Del's potential was evident.
As you can see, Del lived up to this gimmick, even writing out tickets for his opponents after beating them!
Del has since
retired from the sport, and has sold off the Patriot gimmick to
Tom "Sal Sincere" Brandi. |
