BULLDOG
BOB BROWN Known
by many as the franchise of Central States wrestling. Throughout
his 25 year tenure in the Central States, Brown was both a heel
and a babyface, but acheived his greatest fame as the consummate
villian. In my opinion, Brown was the greatest heel in wrestling
history. His 17 Central States Title reigns and 17 reigns as a co
holder of the Tag Team Title stand as all time records. Brown died
in 1997 at the age of 57.

HARLEY
RACE A true legend
in wrestling, Race helped to define Central States Wrestling as it's
greatest wrestler. His May 1973 victory over Dory Funk Jr. for the
NWA World Title (THE biggest title in wrestling at that point) brought
national attention to the Central States promotion. Race went on to
win the NWA World Title 8 times. He is also an 8 time Central States
Champion. Race currently resides in Missouri, and runs the World
League Wrestling independent promotion.
BOB
GEIGEL The man responsible for Central States Wrestling. Unbeknowst to
many casual fans, Geigel was the majority owner of the Central States
promotion (Heart Of America Sports). Geigel was also a great wrestler
in his own right in a career that spanned from the early 50s to the
mid 70s. His tag team duo with Bob Brown in the mid-late 60s ( 5 Tag
Title reigns) is generally recognized as the greatest tag team in
Central States history. Geigel was a 6 time Central States champ,
as well as a co holder of 13 Tag Team Championships. Geigel still
resides in Kansas City.
SONNY
MYERS 14 time Central states Champion. Myers was the franchise of the
promotion from the early 50's through the mid 60's. He won his first
Central States Title in 1951, and his last in 1967. Sonny is still
living in St. Joseph, Missouri and runs the indy promotion All
Star Wrestling.
