The Central States version of the NWA U.S. Title is created in August of 1961. Pat O' Connor is declared the champion. Details are sketchy on the title changes, but records indicate the title was active from 8/61 to 9/69.

• Bulldog Austin & Tarzan Kowalski win Tag Titles from Medics (date unknown)

• Lee Henning regains CS Title from Etchison in St. Joe (4-21)
