MATCH
RESULTS (From
St. Joe & Joplin)
High flying Venezuelan
wrestler Omar Atlas debuts. Omar is a mainstay during the first half of
the decade, and "Mr. Excitement" is remembered as one of the
top faces in Central States history. Legend has it that Omar is the brother
of Cyclone Negro. Atlas had appeared in other territories (L.A., San Francisco,
Texas, Florida) as Buddy Moreno, Omar Negro, and under a mask as Red Menace...1971
also marks the debut of both Black Angus and the man who many feel was
the best (and most despised) manager in Central States history, Percival
A. Friend. Friend was notorious for using his "loaded" briefcase
on his charges opponents...
